We had a great time at our Germany support raising event last Saturday! Thank you so much to everyone who came! It was so wonderful to see so many of you in one place. We had a great time sharing our heart with you about Germany and the need for those going to be sent. We are pleased to say that after Saturday, our monthly support went up by 5% just from commitments made that day, and more have you have been sending in your support and commitments to the Kontakt Mission office since then! THANK YOU! We still have a long way to go to reach 100%, and we only have about 2 1/2 months to get it all in, so please continue to consider how you can be a part of our team!

We have just about a week and a half left here in Illinois :-( If we haven't been able to see you yet, please let us know and we'll be sure to make something happen!  

In other news, Oliver cut his first tooth this past week! Ouch.

We have been in Springfield now for almost 2 weeks! We have been having such a great time visiting with friends and family. On Saturday we have a big Germany event happening at the South Side South West Campus! On Saturday, Aug. 3, We welcome you to the back bay of the South West Campus for an afternoon full of fun, food and Germany updates and information! If any of you in the Springfield area have any questions about what Ryan and I will be involved in while in Germany, come and let's talk about it! We will have lunch available for you and the fam as well as the whole playground for the kiddos to play on. Show up at noon and stay for a while! We would love to see you there!

Support raising update: 

We have sent out all our letters to our Midwest friends and family! Please pray that the support that is needed for our ministry in Germany (financial and prayerful) comes through! Please consider how you too could be a part of our support team!

If you did not receive a letter from us, but would like one, please let one of us know!

Our Timeline: 

I know, it is a bit confusing... all of our bouncing back and forth between California, Germany and Illinois! This is what the rest of our summer and fall looks like- 

July16-August20: In Springfield, IL

August20-Last week of October: In California, packing and getting ready to move

Last week of October: MOVE TO GERMANY! 

First 2 weeks of November: Training course led by Kontakt Mission at their headquarters in southern Germany.  

After the training course is finished we will head to Dresden to move into our apartment (that we have yet to find, yikes!) 

We are so excited that the time has finally come for our move to finally happen! We still have so much to do, and so much support to raise! Please be praying for us! We love and appreciate all your prayers and love. Hope to see you all soon!

Support Raising is in Full Swing!

Hello all! Well, now that we are somewhat more adjusted to life with our little guy, we have began hit the support raising hard once again! We are just 5 months away from our departure date and just short of 50% monthly funded, with quite a long way to go as far as our start up costs go. But we have full faith in God's ability to provide for our needs!

Just last Sunday night, the missions committee from First Christian Church here in Napa, hosted an informational dessert evening for Ryan and I at the ever so generous Erickson's home! We had a good turn out, but know that a lot of you were not able to make it. Thanks to all of you who did take the time out of your weekend to come listen to Ryan and I share about our hearts for Germany! If you were not able to make it to last Sunday's event, my (Elyse's) parents will be hosting another evening like last Sunday's at their home in June. We will be sending out invitations hopefully later this week!  We feel like it is very important to see as many of you in person that we can before we leave! We know many of you may have questions, and it's just so much easier to dialogue with you in person :-) And of course, we would LOVE to meet with any of you individually if you like as well! Maybe go out for a coffee, or anything! Please let us know if that is something that you are interested in :-)
