Garage Sale= Success

Thank you to everyone who stopped by this past weekend to buy things from our garage sale!

This garage sale ended up being a little (and by a little, mean a tonnnnnnn) more work than what we were expecting. We ended up setting all of the things out Thursday night so it would all be ready to go on Friday. We had so much stuff that we knew there would be no way to get it all out in time in the morning. And because we set everything out that night, someone had to stay up and keep watch over the treasures, that person was my dear husband Ryan. I tried to stay up for a little while, but ended up going inside for at least a couple hours of sleep. Here's a picture of me falling asleep outside-

Ridiculous.

Anyway, just as we suspected, even though all of the ads said our sale starts at 8am, people were there flocking by no later than 6:15am. yikes. It was a great couple days of selling, but even a better couple of days of being able to spend time with our family and friends that stopped by and helped!Just look at the masses of things we had to deal with here! But the good thing is that most of it got purchased!

Oh! And did we mention that this same weekend was when we moved out of our apartment which is located 45 minuted north of Springfield? Well, it was. Ryan, his dad and a bunch of or wonderful guy friends did trips back and forth from Lincoln (where our apartment was) to our storage unit in Springfield. Whew!!, What a weekend!!!

All in all this weekend was a total success. With the sale we raised around $1,200 to go toward our internship (praise God!) and we also moved out of our first little home together. Crazy for sure, but we're now well on our way toward being ready for Germany! There is nothing like being a missionary, that is for sure. Just in the last week I have found myself unemployed (Quit my 2 jobs i had been working foe the past 2 years) and homeless (living with my in-laws). But God is so good and we're getting ready to move o Germany soon! So thanks again to everyone who helped this weekend ESPECIALLY my in-laws, Doug and Lisa Dillon (they're the BEST!). So glad it's over! :)

Support Update 2

Guten Tag everyone! Well, we're three months away from leaving for Germany, and three months into the support raising process! Now that we are now half way through this initial journey, we just wanted to give everyone another little update!

So as you can see, we are still a long way away from our total goal of $12,000. We are so thankful for all of you that have given to us so far, and we especially want to thank you for your commitments to pray for us! We have made it to $3,550 because of all of you! With this said, we are still in need of raising $8,450. Please prayerfully consider playing a part in helping reduce this number!

If you were sent a letter from Ryan and I and have not yet responded, you may still have the response card and envelope that you can send directly to the Kontakt Mission office. But if you do not have, or lost that card and envelope, here are some ways you can give to Ryan and I in our work for God's Kingdom:

1. Make check payable to “KM USA” & write “Dillon” in the memo line and Mail to:

KM USA
P.O. Box 825
Humboldt, TN 38343

2. You can also give monthly! (which would be awesome!)
On the response card that came with our support letters, there is a box for you to check if you would like to give to us monthly. Check that box and state the amount, and Kontakt Mission will take care of all of the details!

If you did not receive a letter, or have lost the response card, that's not a problem! We can send you another one, just let us know!

Major thanks to all of you who have agreed to partner with us! We truly appreciate you so much! God has been showing us amazing things about Germany and the church we will be working with! Our field mentor, Rocco Panepinto, has been in contact with us and we can already tell he's going to be awesome to work with! We'll be posting some more info about the church and the city we're working at soon! And again, thank you and God bless you all for your love and support!
